We’re raising funds to send Scouts from Caerphilly, Rhymney & Islwyn to the World Scout Jamboree—a life-changing global event that builds friendships, skills, and cultural understanding. Every donation helps make this dream a reality

Story

I’ve been selected to attend the 2027 World Scout Jamboree—a once-in-a-generation event bringing together tens of thousands of Scouts from around the globe.

This is more than a trip; it’s an opportunity to grow, learn, and share experiences that will last a lifetime.

Where did my story start? Way back in 2016 I joined Beavers, within a few weeks I was on my first night's away with the colony in Abergavenny, now that might not sound very far but for a not quite 6 year old who had only joined about 4 weeks prior to the camp it was a major adventure! And right there and then I got the Scouting bug... Since then I have been on loads of adventures, camping, hikes, DofE practise expeditions, AWESOME, just to name a few. Until my selection for WSJ my highlight was being selected to represent Scouts Cymru at Remembrance Parade in London, November 2025.

All of the experiences have shaped me and made me the confident young person I am today and helped my journey of being selected for this next incredible adventure, I have made life long friends along the way.

As part of the campaign "Support CRAI Scouts on Their Jamboree Journey," I am committed to fundraising to cover the costs of travel, accommodation, and training, of which the total is £3,500.

However, I can’t do it alone. Every donation helps me take part in this incredible journey and brings back new skills, friendships, and perspectives to my local community.

Your support is vital in making this dream possible—together we can inspire change and foster growth within our community. Thank you for believing in this cause and for your generosity!
