Story
This campaign is about opportunity, growth, and bringing the wider world a little closer to home.
In 2027, six Scouts and two adult leaders from our district have been selected to attend the World Scout Jamboree — a once-in-a-generation gathering that brings together tens of thousands of Scouts from across the globe. For the young people involved, this is far more than a trip abroad. It’s a formative experience that will challenge them, stretch them, and help shape the adults they’ll become.
The Jamboree is built on shared experience. Scouts from different countries live side by side, work together, solve problems together, and learn how people with different cultures, languages, and beliefs approach the world. It’s global citizenship in practice, not theory. Friendships are formed that last decades, and perspectives are gained that simply can’t be taught in a classroom.
Our six Scouts represent a wide range of personalities, strengths, and journeys through Scouting. Some have grown in confidence, others in empathy, leadership, resilience, or independence. What they share is a willingness to step forward and take on something big. The two leaders attending are there to support, safeguard, and mentor — ensuring that this experience is safe, inclusive, and genuinely life-changing.
Attending the World Scout Jamboree comes with significant costs, from travel and accommodation to equipment and training. Every Scout and leader is committed to fundraising and putting in the effort required, but they can’t do it alone. That’s where this campaign comes in.
By supporting this fundraiser, you’re not just helping eight people attend an international event. You’re investing in young people who will return with new skills, broader horizons, and a deeper understanding of the world — and who will bring that experience back into their local Scout groups, schools, and communities. The impact doesn’t stop in 2027; it ripples outward for years.
Thank you for supporting this journey. Every donation, share, and word of encouragement helps turn a remarkable opportunity into a reality — and helps these Scouts take their place on the world stage, ready to learn, contribute, and grow.
This is Scouting at its best: local roots, global reach, and lives changed along the way.
