I am cycling 55 MILES on 14 SEPTEMBER as part of the London to Brighton cycle ride with a team of LSHTM students, alumni and staff.

....and to make my life a little harder I decided cycle over 350km around Belgium before!

>> WHAT IS LSHTM SCHOLARSHIP FUND?

LSHTM is one of the world's leading institutions in public and global health research, education, and policy influence. The LSHTM Scholarship Fund provides scholarships for students from low-and-middle-income-countries (LMICs). This is HUGELY IMPORTANT because scholarships benefit students from the communities experiencing the greatest harm, who are prevented from achieving their goals due to their financial circumstances.

Your donation won't just impact the students who receive a scholarship, it will be felt across the communities they serve. Each year, LSHTM receive thousands of applications from prospective students who decline their offers as they are unable to afford the fees and cost of living in London.

As an LSHTM alumnus and current health policy professional, I can’t speak highly enough of the opportunities and education LSHTM students receive. An important aspect of my studies was learning from students from all over the globe, with direct experience of the complexities of delivering health interventions in developing health systems, with a high dependence on humanitarian and intergovernmental organisations and international aid. The COVID-19 pandemic was an important reminder of the interdependence of global and public health, and the LSHTM scholarship fund is an vital cornerstone in connecting the dots through collaboration and communication.
