Story

The LSHTM Scholarship Fund provides scholarships for students from low-and-middle-income-countries (LMICs).

Scholarships benefit students from the communities experiencing the greatest harm, who are preventedĀ from achieving their goals due to their financial circumstances.

Will you invest in our students with a gift?

Your gift not only impacts the students who receive a scholarship, it will be felt across the communities they serve and the lives they touch—now and for decades to come.

Each year, we receive thousands of applications from prospective students who reluctantly decline their offers as they are unable to afford the fees and cost of living in London.

Students like Neema Kaliambo, MSc in Health Data Science. Losing her father at a young age has driven her determination to contribute to cardiovascular research especially in underserved communities like her own.

After multiple applications and having to turn down offers of partial funding from other universities, Neema feared she would have to give up on her dream.

Receiving full funding from LSHTM has been nothing short of life changing. She now leads cardiovascular research projects in Tanzania and plans to pursue a PhD to continue impacting global health.

ā€œThank you for restoring my hope and opening doors I thought were closed. Your support changed my future, and I’m committed to using it to transform others’ lives.ā€

Your gift today can open doors for more exceptional students like Neema

Just £21 from 100 supporters would cover the travel costs of a student from a LMIC

A gift of £55 or £1 for each mile could contribute towards course costs

A gift of £300 would cover the compulsory NHS fee for a student from a LMIC
