Story

I’ll be honest — I’m a complete novice when it comes to hiking. In fact, I’ve never set foot on a trail before! So, as you can imagine, I’m a mix of super excited and absolutely petrified.

From 2nd to 11th October 2026, I’ll be taking on the Inca Trail — a huge challenge for me — to raise money for a small but desperately needed charity that’s very close to my heart: Harry’s Pals.

The adventure will take me along Inca-paved paths and ancient stone steps, through lush cloud forests, and up to the demanding Dead Woman’s Pass at 4,200m. The trek will be 5 tough days of continual climbing and descending — steep in places, with the altitude making it even harder. It’s definitely not going to be easy, but every step will be for a cause that truly matters.

Harry’s Pals provide emotional support to parents going through every mum and dad’s worst nightmare: being told their child has a life-limiting or life-threatening condition. The support they give is unique and invaluable, helping families navigate some of the most heartbreaking and overwhelming circumstances imaginable.

This trek will push me well outside my comfort zone, but knowing I’m helping Harry’s Pals continue their amazing work will keep me moving forward.
