Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Swim Free Aberdeen JustGiving page.

We are planning a fundraising swim for local charity Somebody Cares.

As you will be aware demands for support services has continued to increase with many people struggling to make ends meet on a daily basis. Residents from all areas of Aberdeen city and shire are falling into the poverty trap, suffering from poor mental health and long-term illness. Domestic Abuse, stress, debt, and an overall feeling of helplessness have all risen and the need for services is increasing

Somebody Cares have continued to support individuals in offering services at no cost to folks during these challenging times. This includes provide free furniture, food, clothing, toys, baby items and household essentials to those in need. Additionaly support can be offered to assist folks with work clothing in order that they can return to work.

We would really appreciate support from our local open water swimming community and from friends and family so that we can support the valuable efforts of Somebody Cares in the city and shire
