Story
My 4 Marathon Challenge for Prostate Cancer
This year, I’m taking on one of the biggest (and probably maddest!) challenges of my life — running four marathons in Newport, Belfast, London, and Edinburgh — all to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.
That’s 26.2 miles… four times.
Over 104 miles in total.
And to make it even more challenging (and hopefully entertaining!), I’ll be running every single mile dressed as a screw 🔩.
Why I’m Doing This
Prostate cancer is now the most commonly diagnosed cancer in men in the UK. It affects 1 in 8 men, and the risk is even higher for some.
I’ve had two family members who have suffered from prostate cancer, and I’ve seen first-hand the impact it has — not just physically, but emotionally — on them and on everyone around them. It’s something that touches far too many lives, and that’s why this challenge means so much to me.
About the Charity
Prostate Cancer UK funds vital research, provides support to men and their families, campaigns for better screening, and works to improve diagnosis and treatment. Every pound raised helps bring us closer to better treatments and earlier detection.
How You Can Support Me
If you’re able to sponsor me, I would be incredibly grateful. Whether it’s the cost of a coffee or more, it will all make a difference.
And just as importantly, please take a moment to check your own risk — or encourage the men in your life to do so. It could genuinely save a life.
Four marathons. One costume. One very important cause.
I'm incredibly grateful to have the backing of Forgefix, who's 'Screw Prostate Cancer' campaign is supporting me through this challenge.
Training Support
I've also had help along the the way from Ben at Personify Fitness, who has supported me through my training.
Thank you so much for your support
