Story
Me and George are taking on the London to Brighton Bike Ride to support Action for BPAN, the UK's first charity dedicated to funding research for BPAN (Beta-Propeller Protein-Associated Neurodegeneration).
This cause is very personal to me because my daughter Isabella was Diagnosed with the condition in 2021.
BPAN is a rare and life-limiting genetic disorder that causes progressive neurological decline, including developmental delays, seizures, early-onset dementia, and movement disorders such as Parkinsonism and dystonia. It typically begins in early childhood and gradually impairs mobility, communication, and daily functioning.
Action for BPAN was founded in 2024 by my partner Nicole Harper and Kelly Sayers, The charity supports research into treatments and cures, provides support to families, and raises awareness to drive progress and offer hope to those living with BPAN
Every mile we cycle is a step closer to life-changing treatments and a brighter future for all children living with BPAN.
Please support us on this journey, together, we can turn hope into action!
Thanks to amazing fundraising, over £100,000 has been raised to fund early gene therapy research. George and I want to support both the direct help Action for BPAN provides to families and the pioneering research offering hope for a cure that could transform lives.
