Running the 2026 TCS London Marathon with #TeamOxfam
In 2026, I’ll be running the TCS London Marathon as part of #TeamOxfam – and honestly, I’m equal parts excited and terrified (mostly terrified, but we’ll focus on the excited bit).
I’m doing this because it’s about way more than just ticking off a finish line on a bucket list. I believe in a world where poverty doesn’t hold people back, where communities hit by crisis get the support they need to rebuild, and where inequality gets called out and challenged.
Oxfam is right there every day—responding to emergencies, tackling climate injustice, standing up for women’s rights, and helping communities build real, lasting change. That’s why I’m running. Because this marathon isn’t just a run—it’s a chance to be part of something meaningful.
On a personal note,
Becoming a mum last year turned my world upside down—in the best, most beautiful (and occasionally exhausting) way. Since then, life’s been a full-time juggle: I’m a mum to a 1 year old built of pure chaos whose alergic to sleep, I work full-time, I’m running a household, and now I’m somehow training for a marathon on top of it all.
And while it’s chaotic (and fuelled mostly by coffee and willpower), it’s also brought me something really special: purpose. A reason to do something that’s mine. A goal I’m proud of. And doing it for a cause like Oxfam makes it mean even more.
Motherhood has made Oxfam’s mission hit home in a whole new way. The idea that any parent might not be able to provide their child with even the basics—clean water, food, safety—is heartbreaking. Every child deserves the chance to thrive, and every family deserves a fighting chance.
If you can spare a few pennies (or pounds), your donation will help Oxfam keep showing up with practical support, bold solutions, and long-term change.
This isn’t just a run. It’s a movement. And I’d be so grateful for your support.
Thank you 💚
