Story

Huge thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

I first saw NSAR back in 2017 when they were assisting police looking for a missing person.

My sister and I were on a walk and we found that missing person. The experience and moment had a profund effect on us, one we'll never forget.

I was so in awe of the team of volunteers that I decided to learn more about their work. Five years on, I'm now a volunteer too.

My youngest son, Ethan (13 years) and I, are trekking 22 miles up Kilimanjaro, through 5 climatic zones. It's set to be an incredible experience for us both and whilst we do it we'd love to raise funds for our local Search and Rescue Team. The NSAR team are amazing, they are a group of highly trained volunteers with specialist skills, equipment and vehicles. They respond to all call outs from the Police and Fire services and will provide assistance to neighbouring counties and national exercises. They are a charity and 100% reliant on donations.
