Story

This fundraising page is a shared commitment by Giani Sukha Singh (Malaysia) together with Harpartap Singh and EkNaam Singh from California, USA. Although we live thousands of miles apart, we are united by one purpose to support the Sikh Helpline and stand beside those who are suffering in silence.

We are not cycling 350 miles simply to complete a challenge. We are riding for the father, the mother, the young person, and the family who feel they have nowhere left to turn.

We are riding for the businessman who believed taking his own life was the only way to protect his parents from losing their home after a devastating financial loss. One call to the Sikh Helpline changed everything. Through emotional support, practical guidance, and the involvement of experienced professionals, hope replaced despair. His father told him, "A house can always be rebuilt, but a son can never be replaced." Those words, together with the support he received, helped save his life.

We are riding for the mother overwhelmed by depression after a painful divorce, who believed both her life and her young son's life had come to an end. With the support of the Sikh Helpline and partner agencies, her son returned to school, she rebuilt her life, and today they both have hope for the future.

We are riding for the woman living in fear with an alcohol-dependent husband, for the young person battling mental health challenges, for those facing domestic abuse, bullying, addiction, racism, hate crime, loneliness, and for everyone who suffers behind closed doors without knowing where to turn.

These are not just stories—they are real people whose lives were changed because someone answered the phone, listened without judgement, and gave them hope when they needed it most.

The 350-mile journey from Scotland to Birmingham will test us physically and mentally, but it is nothing compared to the battles that so many people face every single day. Every mile we pedal is dedicated to someone who needs hope. Every hill we climb represents another life worth fighting for. Every donation helps ensure that when the next desperate call comes, the Sikh Helpline is there to answer it.

We humbly ask you to stand with us by sponsoring this challenge. Every donation, no matter how large or small, will help the Sikh Helpline continue providing emotional support, guidance, and hope to those facing life's darkest moments. If you are unable to donate, please share our fundraising page with your family, friends, and colleagues. Together, we can reach more people, save more lives, and remind those who are suffering that they are never alone.

Together, let's ride with purpose. Together, let's give hope. Together, let's save lives.
