On 21st August 2026, I will embark on an incredible personal journey: trekking the famous high mountain La Haute Route from Chamonix to Zermatt over 10 challenging days. This expedition is not only a test of endurance but also a heartfelt mission to support the Honourable Artillery Company, Light Cavalry Squadron.

The HAC is a registered charity and its objectives include support to the Company's ceremonial sub-units, including the HAC Light Cavalry. The latter, established in 1861, has a proud history as a battlefield reconnaissance unit. Today, the ceremonial Light Cavalry, reformed in 1979, plays a vital role in preserving military tradition and equitation activities. However, to continue this important work effectively, we urgently need your help to raise funds towards purchasing a horse that will be trained and cared for by this non-profit voluntary organisation.
