Story
I am proudly running in the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2026 on 11 October 2026 to support Alcohol Change UK, a charity dedicated to creating a society free from the harm caused by alcohol. This cause is deeply important because it envisions a future where drinking is a conscious choice, not a default, and where the root issues like poverty, mental health challenges, and homelessness that contribute to alcohol problems are addressed with compassion and care.
Alcohol Change UK is not anti-alcohol; they are for positive change. They provide vital support to those who drink too much and their loved ones, ensuring access to high-quality help without shame or stigma. Your generous donations can make a real difference: £20 can help around 20 people reduce their drinking through the Dry January® challenge; £30 can fund training for frontline workers and improve support for dependent drinkers; £40 can support 16 people for six months via the Try Dry® app.
I am aiming to raise £350 to empower this incredible work. Please join me in making an impact by donating today—together we can inspire change and offer hope to so many. Every contribution counts towards building healthier lives and communities.
