Story

Two events, two weekends, one almighty challenge including a WORLD RECORD attempt in memory of Glen Oxley, raising money for Ashgate Hospice in Chesterfield where he passed away with prostate cancer in 2019.

GO64 - Glen's Final Journey (Saturday 22 & Sunday 23 July 2023)

A minimum 64-mile walk over two days from Ashgate Hospice to Glen's home in Eckington via places he lived, worked and loved to mark the 64 years in which his presence enriched our lives.

GO24 - Glen's Roundersathon (Saturday 29 to Sunday 30 July 2023)

***WITNESSES STILL REQUIRED***

A 24-hour rounders event at the English Institute of Sport Sheffield in association with Sheffield City Trust and Rounders England to mark Glen's international achievement of playing for the England rounders team. Two squads of 15 people will play rounders for 24 hours from 2.30pm on the Saturday to 2.30pm on the Sunday in an attempt to set a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORD.
