Following the devastating diagnosis of an aggressive brain tumour, friends and family of Glenn Pearce are hoping to raise even more money for 2 amazing charities; Brain Tumour Research and Maggies. Maggies supports individuals and their families following a cancer diagnosis. Additionally, Brain Tumour Research funds research into cures for brain tumours - the biggest cancer killer of under 40s.

Glenn, a 53 year old father of 3 wonderful children sadly lost his battle with cancer in December 2025. He was a much loved and hugely popular pillar of the local community and is deeply missed. With the support of his family, friends and local services he he was able to spend his remaining months at home. Maggies has provided invaluable emotional support for Glenn’s family during his illness and since his death and; following last years fundraising success, we wish to continue to raise funds for these 2 amazing charities.

In keeping with Glenn’s love of walking and the outdoors, we are looking for sponsorship in our mission to walk the Edinburgh 7 hills; a walk of approximately 18miles to include the 7 hills that punctuate the city.
