Our 6-member team Glint of Guria - Jasmine, Dominic, Karthik, Bala, Raylan (11yr), Pranav(9 yr) are walking the Peak District 10-mile challenge on Saturday, June 28th, 2025, for Guria-UK.Org (charity dedicated to fighting against human trafficking) to raise awareness, support, and funds to provide coaching and formal technological training in Artificial Intelligence, as the Youth at Guria centre India, pursue UP Board certification. These youngsters aspire to build their career foundation in technology and embark on a journey that will help change their lives.

GURIA ( meaning doll in Hindi), Guria is a grassroots charity in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, led by Ajeet Singh and Santwana Manju that works against human trafficking and rescues exploited women and children from prostitution.

Over the recent years, Guria has been holding Art workshops in Mau (UP, India), empowering the youth by hosting sports events, and staging dance programs. Guria has also built a software lab to facilitate IT education.

In April 2023, I visited the Guria centre in the heart of the red light area of Varanasi. I was overwhelmed by the number of children of varying age groups ( including teenagers) who spend their time here learning skills, interacting, making friends, meditating, and spending their afternoons engaged in arts and crafts activities. Some join following their school day session, whereas others take time off from their temporary jobs.

Ajeet received the Mother Teresa’s Memorial award 2019 and also appeared in KBC with his wife Santwana Manju and the entire Guria crew
