Team Glint of Guria is walking the Peak District 10 mile challenge on Saturday, June 28th, 2025, to raise awareness, support, and funds to provide coaching and formal technological training in Artificial Intelligence as the youth of Guria Foundation pursue Board certification in AI.

GURIA ( meaning doll in Hindi), based in Varanasi, India, is a close-to-heart non-profit organisation that works against human trafficking and rescuing exploited women and children from prostitution.

Over the recent years, Guria has been holding Art workshops in Mau , empowering the youth by hosting sports events, and staging dance programs. Guria has also built a software lab to facilitate IT education.

In April 2023, I visited the Guria centre, in the heart of the red light area of Varanasi. I was overwhelmed with the number of children of varying age groups ( including teenagers) who spend their time here learning skills, interacting, making friends, meditating and spending their afternoon engaging in arts and crafts activities. Some join following their school day session, whereas others take time off from their temporary jobs.

Guria is a grassroots charity based in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, led by Ajeet Singh and Santwana Manju.

Ajeet received the Mother Teresa’s Memorial award 2019 and also appeared in KBC with his wife Santwana Manju and the entire Guria crew
