Story
Richard House Children's Hospice serves the heart of east London.
They are based in Newham just near Globe Rowing Club's secondary site at the Royal Docks.
Globe Rowing Club is a South East London rowing club catering for all ages and abilities.
In our 100th year a number of our athletes have decided to take part in a 12 hour ergathon (rowing for 12 hours on an ergometer/rowing machine) to help raise funds for Richard House and a small percentage also going towards our club to continue its growth and enabling more people take part in our sport.
See our team page for more details, we'd like 75% of donations to go to Richard House.
About Richard House Children's Hospice
They deliver specialist care for babies, children and young adults, while supporting their families through counselling, therapy, bereavement support and more. With a focus on living for today and creating positive memories for tomorrow, they also offer a range of activities for all the family to enjoy.
The services are completely free of charge and as a local charity over 70% of the funding is charitable - from the generosity of local people, companies and groups.
As a club with a large junior squad we see this as a really excellent charity and cause to be supporting and we thank you for all your support!
