Story
Zakat ul-Fitr (also called Sadaqat-al-Fitr or Fitrana) is an obligatory donation in Islam, given before the Eid-al-Fitr prayer to help those in need during the holiday. Unlike annual Zakat, it usually involves giving a set amount of food or its value to those in need as an act of purifying the fast and support the less fortunate. Zakat al-Fitr practices can differ based on Islamic schools and local traditions.
This Ramadan, we have taken the decision to fast on Monday 24th March from 5.53AM - 6.20PM in the UK (for our GAC colleagues that is slight different but just as long!).
It would be great if you could support the following colleagues who are taking part by sponsoring this great charity.
