Could you conquer southern England’s highest point, and miles of wild terrain to get there? Introducing The Dartmoor Beast - a first edition 20-mile or 14-mile trail run in aid of local charity, Hospiscare

Story

On 27 September 2026, Grace and Sarah will be RUNNING TWENTY MILES ACROSS DARTMOOR in the name of Hospiscare!

We’ll be facing rivers, tors, bogs and steep climbs as we take on The Dartmoor Beast to support Hospiscare, local patients, and their families - helping ensure they receive the expert end-of-life care, comfort and support they need.

20 miles?! Why would you do that?!

In 2018, Grace trekked across three active volcanoes in Iceland to raise over £4000 for Hospiscare, who hold a very special place in her heart.

Her partner Tom’s dad, Collin, was looked after incredibly by Hospiscare at the end of his life and since then they have supported his mum who has in turn spent years working with and supporting the charity.

Tom worked for Hospiscare’s amazing fundraising team for several years and Grace volunteered a day a week in their Comms & Marketing team, which helped lead to her successful Comms & design career today.

For all these reasons and more, we are planning to take on this insane challenge - which we’re working hard to prep for as it’s beyond what either us have ever attempted before!

if you’d like to support Hospiscare by donating here, it would mean a lot to us and to the many people who receive care and support from them.

Huge thanks to all of you - no matter how big or small your contribution!!

Lots of love,

Grace & Sarah
