Hospiscare provides free and specialised nursing to the terminally ill in Exeter, Mid and East Devon. It looks after more than 700 patients at any one time, supporting patients in their own homes and in its hospice. It relies on the generosity of the community to provide this vital service.

Story

It’s more than just a race. It’s a test of your limits.

Hospiscare is proud to introduce Dartmoor’s toughest new trail race: The Dartmoor Beast. Whether intrepid participants opt for the 20 mile or 14 mile route, rivers, tors, bogs and plenty of steep climbs await!

It’ll take peak physical fitness and mental fortitude to beat The Dartmoor Beast – but it can’t compare to the challenge of a terminal diagnosis or the loss of a loved one. That’s why we’re calling on people from far and wide to step up and make their miles count.

Although Hospiscare can’t change a terminal diagnosis, we want to be there, ensuring that those with life-limiting illness receive compassionate, expert end-of-life care at no cost to them or their family. We want to be there for the friends and family of our patients, providing the comfort, support and advice they need.

But as a local charity, we rely on donations to fund our services – and we need our community to rally round so that local people aren’t forced to face one of life’s most difficult journeys alone.

So please, show your support and make a donation today. Together, we can make a difference!
