We have set up ‘John’s Crew’ in memory of John Lilley to raise money for Brain Tumour Research in the hope that one day, the war against Glioblastoma will be won.

Story

John was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma brain tumour in July 2019 and although he was given just 12-18 months to live, with true Yorkshire grit he simply got on with things and lived until May 2023.

His family have set up ‘John’s Crew’ in his memory to raise money for Brain Tumour Research in the hope that one day, the war against Glioblastoma will be won.

I am part of John's Crew so please help me to make a difference to the funding that can be used for research into brain tumours by supporting my fundraising.

Every penny you can donate is gratefully received by me, by John's family and by Brain Tumour Research.

No-one should have to go through this, but because historically, just 1% of the national spend on cancer research, goes to brain tumours, it is happening too much.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
