Graeme's fundraiser for London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine

Graeme Cappi is raising money for London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine

London to Brighton Cycle Ride 2025 · 14 September 2025 ·

An intrepid team of students, alumni and staff, including our Director Liam Smeeth, have cycled 55 miles to raise funds to provide more life-changing scholarships. Can you help us reach our goal! 🚴

Story

Here we go again! Been a couple of years since I took on this ride for my work charity. During the last year or so I have been plagued by injuries and have barely managed to exercise at all. So this is going to be a killer. I doubt my knee will hold up to the climb at Ditchling Beacon, so may be forced to walk that bit, but I'll get there one way or the other.

The funds raised from this go towards the scholarship fund at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, where they pay me to do nothing useful. Its an incredible cause, and the institution is one that does an immense amount of good. The scholarship fund enables highly talented people to become a force for good in the world of health, and health research. It funds people that would otherwise not be able to enrol on one of our courses:
