Oysho Royal Parks Half Marathon 2026 · 11 October 2026 ·

TeamGOSH are taking on the 2026 Oysho Royal Parks Half Marathon to help give seriously ill children the best chance, and the best childhoods, possible.

Story

On 11th October, we’ll be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital, where our daughter Fern spent the first six weeks of her life. It’s also Fern’s first birthday, which was an extra motivation to sign up!

Fern was born a month premature and with a number of health issues, including a large mass growing from her liver. Because of its size, it was putting a lot of pressure on her other organs. She was rushed to GOSH just a few hours after she was born and, within three days, the GOSH surgeons operated to reduce the blood flow to the mass. Thankfully, this was a huge success and set Fern on the path to recovery.

GOSH is such a special place, and we are incredibly grateful for the life-saving medical care Fern received there. We also had so much support during our time in hospital – the staff were unbelievably kind to us, and we had somewhere to stay and a hot meal every day. We feel incredibly lucky to live in a country where this care and support is provided free of charge.

We met so many brilliant parents while we were in the NICU, all going through really challenging times, and we’re keen to raise money to support GOSH’s incredible work. We’ve made a donation ourselves, and if you can spare anything to add to it, we’d be hugely grateful.

Thank you for your support!
