WHY WE’RE FUNDRAISING FOR EDS UK?

We started working with EDS UK after our founder, Charlotte Vøhtz, daughter, Alexandra Kay, was diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos. Alexandra was passionate about helping others and raised funds and awareness for EDS UK through sales of her artwork and her Alexandra Kay wellbeing brand.

Sadly, Alexandra passed away in 2021 at the age of just 28. In her memory, Green People honours her wish to help others by raising donations that fund the EDS UK’s help lines.

ABOUT EDS

Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) is the name given to a group of thirteen conditions that affect the body’s connective tissue. Some of the many symptoms of EDS include stretchy, fragile skin, extreme fatigue, chronic pain, scoliosis, joint hypermobility, dislocations, easy bruising, and severe digestive problems. A lack of understanding about this complex condition means that those with EDS can live with debilitating undiagnosed symptoms for 12+ years, without access to medical services and care.

The charity EDS UK exists to change this and aims to make diagnosis, treatment and management accessible to everyone.

DONATE TO OUR DAZZLE WALK

On 15th May 2024, we’ll complete a fundraising walk for EDS UK in our hometown of Horsham.

Dressed as a dazzle, the term for a collective of Zebra, we are hoping to raise much-needed funds for the incredible work that EDS UK does to support those living with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.

EDS is a cause very close to the heart of Green People. We would be incredibly grateful for any donations that help to support this lifeline charity and its vitally important work.
