Story
We are joining Amos Road Club at the end of May, riding our tandem for 3 days in Belgium, visiting Bruges, Messen, and the Menin Gate in Ypres.
We are appealing for sponsorship on behalf of Anne Jones, 84 years young, who will be going on to complete the Alpe d'Huez climb after our Belgian trip. This is a climb which has often featured in the Tour de France, with 21 hairpin bends covering a climb of 1120 metres! Go Anne!
Amos Road Club are honoured that we will be joined by Alaa al Dali and Mohammed Asfour, two athletes from the Gaza Sunbirds, a paracyling team from Gaza.
This year we are riding for Amos Trust's partners in Gaza, who are carrying out essential psychosocial work for families, as well as providing education for children and young people in tent schools, as people desperately try to rebuild their lives in the midst of a genocide.
We are riding for 'Sumud' projects in the West Bank, where our partners on the ground are supporting their communities to remain steadfast as life under occupation becomes increasingly difficult. Settler attacks have intensified, families are losing income and homes are being demolished. We are working with HIRN and Holy Land Trust to support families here.
