Hi everyone,

As most of you will know, I recently lost my little sister Sommya. Having been diagnosed with epilepsy at an early age, her life was sadly cut short at only 17 years old. Despite all the challenges she faced during her lifetime, she was so incredibly strong, beautiful, kind and loving. Seeing her radiant smile everyday is what I will miss most.

In memory of her and her resilient mindset, I will be running the Battersea Park Half Marathon on Saturday 10th May 2025 for an incredible charity called Young Epilepsy. They have supported children and young adults with epilepsy for over 125 years - campaigning for children’s rights, delivering health services and research to improve diagnosis and treatments, supporting children and young people throughout their education and providing information, advice and practical help for living day-to-day life. I will be sure to keep you all updated on my Half Marathon progress as I complete my training plan and work towards running across the finish line on the 10th of May!
