Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. We are a team of eleven firefighters from Halstead, and we have set ourselves an incredible challenge. On May 18, 2024, we will be ascending Ben Nevis, the tallest mountain in the UK. But here's the twist - we'll be doing it wearing our heavy & restrictive fire leggings & tunics (fire kits!)

Carrying the weight of our gear up such a daunting peak is no easy feat, but we're not stopping there. As a team, we have decided to take one of our fire service ladders with us and pitch it at the very top. This will be the UK's highest ladder pitch ever achieved!

We are undertaking this personal trek to raise funds for The Fire Fighters Charity. They are an incredible organization that provides invaluable help and support to both active and retired firefighters.

We believe in their mission wholeheartedly, which is why we are reaching out to you today. Your support can make a real difference in the lives of those who dedicate themselves to keeping our communities safe.

Please consider making a donation towards our target amount of £5,000. Every pound brings us closer to reaching our goal and supporting this amazing cause.

This trip is self funded so 100% of your donation will be going directly to the Firefighters charity

Thank you for your generosity and for joining us on this journey!
