Story
My husband Rob has been in hospital since the end of August as he awaits a heart transplant.
Whilst I am at home taking care of our son Freddie, working full time and trying to remain sane; Rob has been in hospital away from friends and family with the uncertainty of when a heart will come.
The garden at Harefield has given us a place to enjoy when we go to visit and has helped countless others before and after their surgery. Not to mention the staff that are able to use it on breaks.
Help us keep the garden growing.
The Healing Garden at Harefield Hospital brings comfort, colour and connection to patients, families and staff. Your support keeps them blooming all year round.
Created in 2020 thanks to generous donations, the Harefield Healing Garden and the smaller Rowan Garden have become a vital part of life at the hospital.
The green spaces give patients, visitors and staff a safe and calming place to pause – whether that’s waiting for a loved-one, recovering after surgery or taking a break between shifts.
This garden only exists because of donations. Your support pays for compost, plants, bulbs and expert gardening help.
