The Healing Garden at Harefield has created a serene, accessible and therapeutic space for patients, families and staff to take a break from their clinical surrounding and enjoy nature's beauty.

A space to pause and recover

Created in 2020 thanks to generous donations, the Harefield Healing Garden and the smaller Rowan Garden have become a vital part of life at the hospital.

The green spaces give patients, visitors and staff a safe and calming place to pause – whether that’s waiting for a loved-one, recovering after surgery or taking a break between shifts.

This is a garden with purpose. Every part has been designed to support patients’ wellbeing – from paths that are wide enough for hospital beds and wheelchairs, to benches placed for quiet conversations or moments of reflection.

How you can help

This garden is funded entirely by the generosity of people like you. Any amount, no matter how small, helps to ensure that The Healing Garden will always be there for those who need it.

We need to raise funds every year to cover the cost of replacement plants, bulbs, and seeds, for professional help, and for tools and materials to keep the garden growing and evolving and in top condition.
