Story
Hi everyone.
On Sunday 3rd May 2026, I’ll be taking on the challenge of running the Belfast City Marathon in memory of a very special friend of mine — and of many others — Oran Marron.
Oran sadly and unexpectedly passed away on 21st September 2025 at just 21 years old. He was living his “best life” in Australia — a life-changing experience for so many, and one that should have been among the happiest days of his life.
This will be my first ever marathon, and as I take on this challenge, I’m hoping to raise funds for the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust — a charity that became incredibly close to the hearts of Oran’s family and friends during an unimaginable time.
The Kevin Bell Trust brought Oran home with dignity, care, and compassion. Alongside Oran’s mum Jacqueline and his wider family, so many other families have been supported by this amazing charity in getting their loved ones home from abroad. It’s something no family should ever have to think about — but sadly, so many do.
The Kevin Bell Trust continues to support families in their darkest days, and the work they do is truly invaluable. 💛💫
While I undertake this challenge, I’ll have Oran at the forefront of my mind — along with my own wee mammy. Oran would’ve always said, “fein, I couldn’t run the length of myself” — Well I’ll run a marathon for you buddy.🤍
If you can support this amazing charity in any way — no matter how big or small — all proceeds will go directly towards helping the Kevin Bell Trust continue their vital work. Please follow the link to my page.
Even sharing this would mean the world to me, Oran’s family and to his many friends. ♾️
Thank you for supporting me, remembering Oran, and helping this incredible charity continue what they do best — with kindness, respect, and love. 💙🫶
