Nearly 29 million children in East and Southern Africa are living with a disability. Too many of them face a life of exclusion—denied access to education, healthcare, and the chance to be part of their community. Many live in poverty, vulnerable to violence, exploitation, and abuse.

Able Child believes that no child with a disability should be left behind. We work with a network of organisations across Africa to protect, educate, and amplify the voices of children and young people with disabilities. Together, they are breaking down barriers to inclusion so that every child has the chance to learn, play, and thrive. Just like we have!
