Ironman 70.3 Bolton & Ironman Leeds

Team Charlie
Campaign by The Noah Jordan Foundation (RCN 1208933)
We share Charlie's story to support 'The Noah Jordan Foundation' in hope of raising vital funds for much needed medical research, to raise awareness and to build a community for those families, like ours, affected by mitochondrial disease.

Story

In July 2025, our lives changed forever when our 11-month-old son, Charlie, was diagnosed with PolG mitochondrial disorder—a rare and degenerative disease with no cure and no effective treatments.

As parents, we made a promise to fight for him with every breath we have.

That fight started last October, when we, along with our incredible family and friends, ran the Yorkshire Marathon. We were overwhelmed by the support, raising £66,000 for Charlie's chosen charities to fund critical research.

But the marathon was just the beginning. Charlie’s battle is every day, and so is ours.

That’s why this year, Harrison, Charlie's father, is pushing his limits even further by taking on his biggest physical challenge yet in Charlie’s name:

- June 2026: Ironman (70.3) Triathlon - Bolton, where Harrison will be joined by James Pollard.

- August 2026: Ironman (Full) Triathlon - Leeds, where Harrison will be joined by fellow marathon runner, Archie Naylor.

We are delighted to continue working with the Noah Jordan Foundation as one of Charlie’s chosen charities, to achieve our shared mission: to accelerate research and find effective treatments, and ultimately a cure, for PolG mitochondrial disorders.

Together, we can give Charlie, and children like him, the future they deserve.

Thank you for joining our fight,

Harrison, Ellie, Wills and Charlie.
