Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page and supporting my journey towards a challenge I have set myself. On July 26, 2025, I will be participating in the Brecon 100miler, an ultra marathon that spans 100 miles through the breath taking area of Brecon Beacon National Park. This event is not just about the distance; it’s about pushing my limits while surrounded by nature's beauty, with total elevation covered exceeding 6000 meters.

I am a current serving Royal Marines Commando, as a Physical Training Instructor. My main aim at the moment is to rehabilitate injured recruits, aiding their journey to achieving the green beret after they have suffered an injury. All whilst been located at the Commando Training Centre, the birthplace of the Royal Marines.

I want to demonstrate the Commando spirit, and what the Royal Marines are made of; Courage, Determination, Unselfishness and Cheerfulness.

This solo mission will require me to run continuously for more than 30 hours, testing both my physical and mental endurance. However, this challenge is not solely for personal achievement; it serves a greater purpose. I am raising awareness and funds for RMA - The Royal Marines Charity, an organisation that does phenomenal work in supporting personnel, veterans, and their families. Their dedication to those who have served our country is truly inspiring.

The RMA has one vision; to offer life-long support to the Royal Marines Family - Once a Royal Marine, always a Royal Marine. This vision is particularly important to me, as it is very easy to lose the support around you, without having great charities like the RMA there. Lack of support is not only noticed for those who are former-serving, but for those who are currently serving, and this needs to be highlighted. Lads find themselves in a place where they are not too sure who to talk to and how, this is why the RMA is a great charity. Providing ways for people to come together and build a community.

The RMA's mission is to help increase operational efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring one of Britain's elite force operates at its highest capability. They consistently provide support, advice and friendship to families. Spreading the Corps spirit across the nation, with sustaining and promoting the traditions.

I invite you to join me on this journey. Your generous donations will directly support the vital services provided by the RMA. Donating through JustGiving is easy, quick and secure. Once you donate, your contribution goes straight to the charity, making it the most efficient way to support this important cause.

Let us work together to achieve the target set of £1,664. Which correlates to the year when the Royal Marines were born. Thank you for your support.
