Imagine a day without power.

Imagine the only light source in your home coming from a fire pit. The dim light source fills your house with smoke. The firewood runs out everyday. For Dennis, in Kenya, this was his reality. His entire familys day ended each day at 7pm, due to a lack of light. No more time for homework, no more time to spend time with family or friends, no more time to relax.

Many families with children attending the Compassion programme dont have access to national grid electricity and struggle to afford portable electric lights. Families also find it difficult to meet educational and basic healthcare costs.
