Story
As IS Technology Directorate, we’re uniting with purpose, passion, and a shared commitment to make a lasting difference — not just in our work, but in the lives of others.
Together, as a team, we’re taking on both personal and group challenges with a powerful goal in mind: to raise enough funds to name a life-changing guide dog puppy. This isn’t just a challenge — it’s a journey of compassion, resilience, and collective spirit. Every step we take, every goal we meet, brings us closer to giving someone the incredible gift of independence, confidence, and freedom.
As part of the group challenge, my sister Audrey and I will be taking on the Scottish 10k in Musselburgh on the 17th of August. This has been a personal journey of our own going from barely being able to run beyond the end of our street to running consistently at the local 5k parkrun events and taking on the next milestone of running 10k.
We signed up for the 10k as a way to push ourselves to the next level — and as part of that challenge, we’re also aiming to raise crucial funds to help name a guide dog puppy.
Guide dogs are more than just companions — they are lifelines for people living with sight loss. By working together, we have the chance to leave a meaningful legacy in the form of a puppy who will grow up to transform someone’s world. Imagine being able to say we made that possible.
Whether we’re pushing our physical limits, testing our mental strength, or supporting each other through every twist and turn — we’re driven by a purpose bigger than ourselves. This is more than a challenge. It’s a cause. And together, we can achieve something extraordinary.
Let’s stay motivated, lift each other up, and show what’s possible when innovation meets heart.
Let’s name a future hero — together.
