Thames Moonlight 10 miles Walk · 8 September 2023

Young Epilepsy is dedicated to standing up for children and young people with epilepsy. We’re here for them. But we need your support because epilepsy is limiting the chances of thousands of children today and may continue to do so for the rest of their lives. Together we create possible.

Story

On Friday 8th September, Hannah, Caroline and Georgina will be taking on the Thames Moonlight 10 challenge to raise awareness and funds for Young Epilepsy. The Thames Moonlight 10 is a 10 mile walk that loops through the heart of London as darkness falls and the Moon rises.

Working for Young Epilepsy, we understand the challenges children and young people with epilepsy face. Around one child and young person in every 200 has epilepsy. For them life can be very different from that of those around them. Epilepsy takes its toll on their physical and mental health, as well as impacting their education and social life.

We are dedicated to standing up for children and young people with epilepsy. It is our job to listen and work with them so they can fulfil their potential. We coordinate research that improves diagnosis and treatments. We campaign for children’s rights. We support young people in school and college. We deliver cutting edge health services and provide innovative tools, information, and practical help for living everyday life.

With your help, Young Epilepsy can create a society in which children and young people with epilepsy can thrive and live happy, fulfilled lives.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for the support.
