Story
I have decided to take on the Big winter workout challenge 2026 for a charity extremely close to my heart.
Many of you are already aware, but for those that are not, I myself was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis in 2018. I had struggled for years prior to my diagnosis. As it’s an invisible disease to most, people won’t know your daily struggles or in fact think that there is anything wrong.
I have been on numerous different drugs and am finally on a drug that currently seems to work for me. 🤞🏽
I still get flares and these can be days, if not weeks long and cause many different symptoms for each person with the disease.
I’m not one to moan daily when I’m poorly but it can be super tough.
There is currently no cure for people living with crohns and colitis, meaning this is a life long disease that sufferers live with.
I want to help be that tiny support to continue fundraising to hopefully one day find a cure.
On behalf of my bowels and all my other bowel babes, thank you for any donation you can spare. However big or small.
lots of love, Hev xxx
Right now, an estimated 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of. And the real number could be almost double that.
Because of the stigma and misunderstanding surrounding these diseases, thousands of people are suffering in silence.
But they’re not alone.
We’re working to improve diagnosis and treatment, and to fund research into a cure; to raise awareness and to give people hope, comfort and confidence to live freer, fuller lives.
