On Sunday 9th March I am taking on the Scafell Pike Sunrise Hike for Shelter . At 4am we begin our ascent of England's highest peak 978m, climbing in the dark to arrive at the summit for sunrise. I have never climbed Scafell, it has always daunted me so this is a fitting challenge to raise some money. We will have a super early start walking in the cold & complete dark.

Please can I tell you a little about Shelter and the charity's work:

The housing crisis is a national emergency. Right now, thousands of people are trying to get by without a safe place to call home

Shelter believe that a safe home is a fundamental need and basic moral right. Every four minutes, a family in England is made homeless. Shelter exists to defend the right to a safe home as they work across Lancashire and the UK to support those needing to secure homes that are safe, affordable, suitable and accessible.

Home is everything.
