We exist to defend the right to a safe home and fight the devastating impact the housing emergency has on people and society. We believe that home is everything.

Story

This is a bucket-list worthy experience where the aim is to reach the peak as dawn breaks and watch as the first light of the day creeps across the mountains and the sun edges over the horizon. A magical, unforgettable experience at a lofty 978m (3,209ft), pausing to take in the views before it’s time to retrace our steps back down the mountain.

With a new perspective in daylight, the descent offers stunning outlooks to enjoy - over the Irish Sea, where the Isle of Man, Morecambe Bay and the whole of the Lake District is visible on a clear day.

By partaking in this bucket list worthy experience, you also agreeing to raise vital funds to support the work of Shelter across England, working to end homelessness.

Shelter exists to defend the right to a safe home. Home is a human right and the foundation from which we thrive. Yet every four minutes a household in England is made homeless. Shelter’s work across Lancashire is to provided face to face or telephone advice for people experiencing housing issues and homelessness, legal services, and campaign for better housing rights. We continue to work hard to change the system and fight for a fairer future of housing…because home is a human right.
