💛 Walking With Purpose – Supporting Guide Dogs for the Blind 💛
As this year’s Lady Captain of Arrowe Park Golf Club, I have chosen to support Guide Dogs for the Blind, a charity whose work has always moved me. The independence, confidence, and companionship these incredible dogs give to people living with sight loss is nothing short of life‑changing. I want to help make more of those miracles possible.
I’ve set myself a challenge that is as meaningful as it is memorable: a virtual walk from Land’s End to John O’Groats – 1,083 miles, one determined step at a time throughout 2026.
It's a big ask as these legs have a few years in them (!!), but every penny donated will make it all worthwhile and I'm determined to get there.
This walk is more than a fundraiser. It’s a symbol of gratitude for the life I’ve lived, the many global golf communities I've been a part of, and the chance to still make a difference.
The App is linked to my Strava so that when I play golf or go for a walk it clocks the distance. I will update my progress (in gallery) on a regular basis.

Almost two million people in the UK are living with sight loss that has a significant impact on their daily lives. Of those, around 180,000 rarely leave their homes alone and lead lonely, isolated lives.
Guide Dogs works for a world where people with sight loss are never left out of life, for a world where being blind or partially sighted is not what defines you. A world with enough support to make the challenges of sight loss no barrier to fulfilling hopes and dreams.
