Story
Since 31st July, I have been embarking on a 1202km Virtual Walk/Run challenge to go around the Fjords of Norway. Initially this started as a Mental Health idea between 3 friends over lunch but since the diagnosis of Lewis Moody with MND, I decided to pick the 4Ed foundation to raise money for in the latter stages of my challenge. Lewis has been a friend to me and also to the Moulsford Prep School community where I work.
Details regarding the 4Ed foundation are below which I hope highlight how important the work they are doing is.
10th November- I currently sit at 880km out of a total of 1202km which averages around 8.5km a day and it is my intention to finish by Christmas Day.
21st November- 967km completed
5th December- 1072km completed
The 4Ed Foundation was established following the MND diagnosis of the former Gloucester & Leicester rugby player Ed Slater, with the vision of creating an inclusive community for families impacted by Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Recognising the unique challenges MND presents, the foundation aims to provide vital resources and support to enhance the quality of life for those affected by MND.
The core purpose of 4Ed is to ease the financial burden on families by raising money to award grants that offer financial assistance and practical support.
By supporting this fundraiser, you will be directly contributing to this important work and helping to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most.
