As you alll know, I love a challenge, and my friend Issi was always up for a challenge too. I also love a birthday swim! On my birthday this year I’m helping someone swim the North Channel (if weather is kind!) so I thought I’d swim on Issi’s birthday instead.

The format for this ‘as advertised’ is to swim an hour of a 12 hour relay. But Simon and I have subverted it to do half an hour on, half an hour off for the whole 12 hours. Please sponsor us in memory of Issi who was training as a teaching assistant to work with children and young people before she died.

Funds will go to Rockinghorse Children's Charity, a Brighton based charity which supports sick and disabled children across Sussex.

They support babies, children and young people, along with their families, at The Royal Alex Children’s Hospital and The Trevor Mann Baby Unit in Brighton and all of the specialist children’s wards and baby units throughout Sussex.

Since 1967 they have supported nearly a million children with lifesaving medical equipment, support for families, environments and spaces for children and additional staff.
