Little Honey's Fundraiser for Oldies Club

Angela C is raising money for Oldies Club
We hope this Winter Appeal for Oldies Club, a volunteer-run charity rescuing and rehoming older dogs in the UK, will raise funds to help us care for our oldies during the coming months. We will truly appreciate every single donation, thank you.

Story

Hi, I'm Honey, a sweet Cockerpoo who arrived in Oldies Club care in the summer of 2025. I have set up this page, with a little help (as my paws, while extremely cute, are not that brilliant with a keyboard), in the hope that caring dog lovers will donate towards my vet bills, as Oldies Club has already paid out over £2,440 just to take care of little me!

Soon after I arrived in Oldies Club care, I was started on treatment for my ears, which helped greatly. Then, on another check-up, the vet unfortunately found what appeared to be a mammary lump, which needed investigation. I was booked in for general anaesthetic and X-ray to check there was no spread and that it was appropriate to proceed with the mass removal, along with a dental.

The surgery went ahead and the histology revealed that unfortunately, one of the mammary lumps proved to be a complex carcinoma, at least low grade and well-differentiated. The margins were clear, but only just. Another tumour was on the gland itself, lipoma, and fully removed.

Then, at the end of September, my fosterer found a lump on my leg when she was grooming me. A fine needle aspiration was arranged and thankfully that lump was found to be a basal cell tumour, typically benign and very unlikely to become invasive, according to the vet. It hasn’t been causing me any problems and the vet said it would be difficult to operate on due to its location, so it was decided to leave that one well alone.

On a positive note, I have been doing well in my lovely foster home and my foster mum says I’m an absolute angel. I really enjoy the company of the humans here and get on well with the dogs I share with and meet too.

If you are able to make a donation to this page today to help Oldies Club cover the cost of my vet bills to date that would be so appreciated. I'm trying to raise funds as part of our Winter Appeal, as Oldies Club has to pay many thousands of pounds each month to take care of all the dogs in its foster homes. It had to pay out over £20,000 in October 2025 alone! Thank you, in advance, for any donation amount you are able to make. Your financial support is what allows Oldies Club to continue helping sweet dogs like me :-)

Should Oldies Club supporters be generous enough to donate more than is needed for my vet bills/care, any excess money will be directed to the charity’s general fund and used to help other older dogs in its care.

Thank you, in hope of your kindness.

Love, Honey xxx
