Story

We're getting our boots back on to walk 60 miles for Noah's Star.

Team Hortons is taking on a canal walk challenge on Friday 18 October to raise funds for the families of sick and premature babies in the West Midlands.

Three teams will set off from Knowle, Fazeley and Wolverhampton, walking approx. 20 miles each to central Birmingham.

We may still have blisters from last year's Three Peaks challenge, but we won't let that stop us!

With your support, we can raise much needed funds for Noah's Star, which will enable the delivery of practical and emotional assistance across the region’s neonatal units and children’s hospitals.

We would be so grateful if you could make a donation.

Noah’s Star supports families of premature and sick babies and children within Neonatal Unit’s and Childrens Hospitals. In July 2015, the founders twin boys, Oscar, and Noah, were born at 25 weeks. Tragically, Noah lived for only 30 hours, while Oscar faced various health conditions. Balancing their older child’s needs, coping with the loss of Noah, and managing constant anxiety about Oscar's health created immense challenges for the family. Recognising the struggles faced by families in similar situations, the founder of Noah's Star is determined to use her personal experiences and passion to help others. Our objectives are to: • Provide emotional support for the whole family facing the challenges of premature birth • Share practical advice and coping strategies. • Reduce feelings of isolation by connecting parents with others who have similar experiences. • Promote mental health and well-being for the whole family during and after their NICU stay.
