Hammersmith United Charities (HUC, https://hamunitedcharities.org.uk/) has been at the heart of Hammersmith for 400 years. We provide homes for life for local older people in our beautiful and affordable almshouses, We also invest in the future through our grants programme for local organisations. And, finally, we support community action by helping build partnerships for the benefit of the local community.

As part of this work, we helped set up H&F Giving in 2020 to mobilise more support for our community.

Hammersmith and Fulham is indeed a wonderful place to live and work. But the evidence shows that there's also poverty, isolation and inequality. H&F Giving's recent research showed that 1 in 3 children in the borough grows up in poverty, 49% of people over 65 are income deprived and our communities are becoming more isolated, with high levels of loneliness especially among those aged 18-25 and older adults.
