On Sept 6th myself and my colleague Alastair Mercer shall be trekking 5,895m up Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of raising funds for a new playground at my daughters primary school.

St Augustine's is a small school in Tunbridge Wells that serves a diverse local community with a large number of pupils at the school not having the benefit of English as their first language. The school is in desperate need of new play apparatus to assist the children in their development.

For three years I have sat on the School Governing body and I hope that by raising even a small amount alongside the PTA we can expedite the new playground for the benefit of the school.
