Taking part in the Markel Magnolia Cup is one of the biggest personal challenges I've ever set myself. Being forced to step back from riding and weightlifting after landing on my head and suffering a concussion, it became an even greater challenge and left me as first reserve for the race.

Against the odds, I've been given the opportunity to ride and now have just five days to prepare. After everything I've overcome, simply making it to the starting line feels like a huge achievement. This experience has reminded me that resilience, determination and never giving up can take you further than you ever imagined.

I'm incredibly proud to be riding not only for this personal challenge, but also to raise vital funds for an incredible cause. Every donation, no matter the size, will help support this important work and inspire me to give everything I have on race day.

The 2026 Markel Magnolia Cup will raise vital funds to support girls’ empowerment around the world through education and economic opportunity.

When a girl is given the chance to learn, she gains the power to shape her own future, and to lift her family and community with her.

Providing access to education for out of school children

Expanding access to finance for young female entrepreneurs

Providing skills training for decent jobs and livelihoods

Taking part in the Markel Magnolia Cup 2026 is both an incredible privilege and a huge personal challenge. Behind the glamour of race day are months of training, early mornings, nerves and determination, all in support of something far bigger than ourselves.

We are racing for girls and young people around the world who have been denied opportunities many of us take for granted: the chance to go to school, gain skills, build confidence and shape their own futures.
