Story
In April 2026, I will be taking part in The TCS London Marathon to raise money for MS-UK!
I was diagnosed with MS in April 2021 after I woke up one morning completely blind in one eye and I like many people who are diagnosed, had to make significant changes to my life. One of those changes was to start running and joining in the local Parkrun.
Five years on and I have ran 10ks, half marathons and even 2 marathons in Paris & Manchester. It has been my dream to run the London Marathon and I feel so honoured to be offered a place running for MS UK a charity close to my heart.
With the great support of my family, friends and MS UK I decided to look at MS straight on and realised it would not get the better of me and I would beat it.
It will be a massive challenge training all through the winter months but any donations will give me the motivation to get out the door.
MS-UK is a national charity dedicated to empowering people affected by multiple sclerosis to live happier and healthier lives. Their services include a helpline, providing information and emotional support, online activities, information booklets and a bi-monthly magazine New Pathways.
Their helpline has been incredibly helpful for me including supporting me to advocate for myself and my health to access important hospital scans and so much more.
Every donation makes a huge difference thank you so much for your support!
