Climbing Snowdon for Alfoxton's Time To Grow campaign.

I haven't climbed Snowdon since I was 20 years old. I'm now 76.

Looking forward to the challenge... but will I make it? I'm hoping with all you's out there as moral support and a group of youngsters from Alfoxton accompanying me, I shall make it, without the need of a piggyback. :-)

Alfoxton is a magical place and close to my heart. Significantly, it was the setting for the birth of Romantic poetry when William Wordsworth and his sister Dorothy moved there in 1797 to be close to their friend Coleridge.

But in recent times, it became very dilapidated, until 5 years ago when we took it on. Now the whole site is coming alive again — as a place where poetry, meditation, and nature meet. But now needs lots more funds to expand its facilities.
